IBB PAS and AMU Join Forces in New Partnership

The Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IBB PAS) and Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (AMU) have signed a framework agreement to strengthen their collaboration in research and education, particularly in studies on the biology of Antarctic ecosystems.

The partnership brings together the scientific expertise, research potential, and infrastructure of both institutions to support innovative projects and academic development. It opens new opportunities for joint research, doctoral training, and the exchange of students and staff.

Planned activities include collaborative research projects, joint academic initiatives, internships and research visits, as well as the co-organization of conferences, workshops, and other scientific events. The agreement also promotes the sharing of knowledge and research resources.

The agreement is of a framework nature, meaning that detailed projects and initiatives will be carried out based on separate arrangements. It does not impose direct financial obligations on either party. The agreement has been concluded for a period of five years, with the possibility of extension.
