Rare Disease Day 2022
For the fifth time, IBB PAS is organizing a mini-symposium on the International Rare Disease Day, coordinated by EURORDIS-Rare Diseases Europe. The event will be held on-line, in Polish. The Rare Disease Awareness Campaign will take place for the 15th time and will target millions of people in over 100 countries. Rare Disease Day is for everyone – rare disease patients and their families, doctors, caregivers, healthcare professionals, scientists, companies, politicians and ordinary people. Anyone can get involved.
Rare diseases affect 300 million people worldwide. There are around 8,000 rare diseases and 8% of the population suffer from them. So they are not at all rare. As previously, we will present new achievements in diagnostics, researching the mechanisms of rare diseases, and caring for the patients by family members.
