Pursuant to § 12 of the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 22 November 2010 on the competition for the post of Director of a scientific institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences (Journal of Laws No. 233, item 1530, as amended), we kindly inform that the Competition Committee for the conduct of the competition for the position of Director of the Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, as a result of the competition proceedings, by Resolution No. 2/2023 of 25 October 2023, selected the candidacy of Prof. dr  hab. Jarosław Poznański for the position of Director of the Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw.

As a result of this competition, the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences appointed Prof. Jarosław Poznański as Director of the Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics PAS in Warsaw on 1 December 2023 for a four-year term of office, i.e. until 30 November 2027.
