Tomasz Turowski receives grant in the NCN Weave-UNISONO competition
We are pleased to announce that Dr. hab. Tomasz Turowski (Laboratory of Transcription Mechanisms IBB PAS) and Prof. Christoph Engel (University of Regensburg, Germany) have been awarded a grant in the NCN Weave-UNISONO competition. Both teams will jointly pursue the project “Molecular mechanisms underlying the biogenesis of RNA polymerases I and III”.
The aim of the project is to gain a better understanding of the biogenesis of the RNA polymerase I and III complexes, which are responsible for the synthesis of structural and functional RNAs necessary for the functioning of ribosomes. In this project, the researchers will try to find out what are the stages leading to the formation of these complex structures and what proteins take part in the process.
Congratulations!
