A stopped-flow instrument is a laboratory tool that rapidly mixes two or more liquid samples to study fast chemical or biochemical reactions that occur in milliseconds to seconds. After mixing, the flow is abruptly halted, and a detector records changes in the sample's absorbance, fluorescence, or other properties over time to provide kinetic information about the reaction, such as rate constants and reaction intermediates. Often considered the go-to instrument type for rapid kinetics, Stopped f Tags: Spectrofotometer |
