Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences hosts the 37th Annual Meeting of the Council of Managers of National Antarctic Programs (COMNAP)

We are honored to announce that the Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IBB PAS) will host the 37th Annual Meeting of the Council of Managers of National Antarctic Programs (COMNAP)!

This prestigious conference will take place for the first time in history in Poland, in Warsaw, from August 5 to 8, 2025. Within numerous expert working groups – including Advancing Critical Technologies, Air Operations, Education, Outreach & Training, Environmental Protection, Marine Platforms, and Science Facilitation – about 200 delegates from around the world, including decision-makers, experts, and specialists in logistics, emerging technologies, and polar environmental protection, will have a unique opportunity to exchange experiences and strengthen international collaboration. The event will also feature the 21st Symposium, serving as a platform for discussions on the future of activities in the Antarctic region.

The event is held under the honorary patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and Science and the Mayor of Warsaw.

The patrons include the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Polish Polar Consortium, and the Committee on Polar Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The Warsaw Tourism Organization is also contributing to the organization of the event.
