To mark the upcoming 50th anniversary of the Henryk Arctowski Polish Antarctic Station, the Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics PAS, together with its contest partner — Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań — invites students from grades 4–8 of elementary schools to participate in the art contest “My Postcard to Henryk Arctowski.”

We are looking forward to receiving postcards that you have designed and made yourselves, inspired by Antarctica, the Arctowski Station, and the research conducted there! We want to spark young people’s curiosity and creativity and help them appreciate the beauty and importance of this unique region.

The best cards will be displayed on the walls of the Station’s new building — so they will travel to the end of the Earth!

📅 Contest is open for submissions until 16 November, 2026.
