We are pleased to announce that Dr. Bartosz Bieszczad has received a grant in the NCN competition MINIATURA 9. He will be working on the project “Synthesis and studies of the biological activity of SMDC (Small Molecule Drug Conjugate) conjugates that can be used as a new tool for permanent, non-surgical sterilization of domestic animals.” Congratulations!

The aim of the project is to synthesize and perform initial characterization of the biological activity of a model compound that can selectively destroy cells expressing the GNRH receptor. Selective destruction of GNRH-receptor-expressing cells in the pituitary gland is a proposed method for non-surgical, lifelong sterilization of domestic animals.
